Miriam (she series) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master of Arts in Clinical Counselling from Yorkville University. Throughout her adult life she has been supporting people on their journeys within a range of settings in both volunteer and professional capacities. As a clinical counsellor she supports individuals and couples within a holistic framework that recognizes the inseparable connection between a person’s mental health, and their emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing.
Miriam brings to her clients the understanding that it is within safe, attached relationships that people do their best healing work. While she uses evidence-based approaches to support clients, she upholds that there is no single, ‘right’ way to do this journey. Each person’s story is their own - shaped by upbringing, values, physical and emotional conditions, and cultural and social contexts. Miriam welcomes all of this and invites you to arrive as you are.
As a certified meditation and yoga teacher, Miriam leans into these practices daily. Outside of work she loves her life as a mom to two teens, and can be found enjoying the outdoor, Okanagan lifestyle—skiing, biking or hiking with her two Labrador retrievers.
